Tuskegee University and Ceyero Consulting Announce the Second Annual Business Pitch Contest in Selma

SELMA, AL, February 9, 2015 – Today, the organizers of the Booker T. Washington Economic Summit at Tuskegee University in partnership with Ceyero Consulting announce the Second Annual Business Pitch Contest (“Selma Business Pitch Contest”) in Selma, Alabama.

The Selma Business Pitch Contest will be held on March 27, 2015 from 9:30am to 5:30pm at the St. James Hotel located at 1200 Water Avenue in Selma, Alabama. The Selma Pitch Contest will feature an opening speaker and a financing panel prior to the start of the Business Pitch competition. Selma Business Pitch Contest judges will evaluate contestants on three equally weighted categories: 1) Presentation clarity, 2) Market identification, size and attractiveness, and 3) the quality of the contestant’s solution, i.e., its financial viability. The top contestant will win Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500) with the two runner ups receiving Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750) and Three-Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350) respectively.

To participate in the Business Pitch Contest, contestants must register through the Booker T. Washington Economic Summit website, www.tuskegee.edu/btwsummit/selma. The public is invited to attend the competition. Individuals who wish to have breakfast and lunch at the Business Pitch Contest must pay $15 at registration. Registration is free if you do not wish to have a meal.
